4:30 or Bust: A Quest for Marathon Mediocrity

Working on the race report…

with 4 comments

Time consuming stuff, so I’m actually dreading it.  Too busy with work and home after being away 5 days…  Anyway, see my Austin Marathon official stats below.  I want to frame it!

Notice that I not only beat my 4:30 time goal, but with my place of 1998 out of 4051, I beat more than half the runners, my other general marathoning goal!

  2. Thanks! Between the favorable weather and the significant downhills in the last 8 miles, I was able to hold back the slowdowns I usually experience in the 2nd half of marathons.

  4. I personally know what it feels like to cross a finish line and accomplish a long range goal. You must have been flying with angels as you crossed. Congratulations, and know that your best years are still to come!
