28 days to the Chicago Marathon
So, clearly, writing in my blog is not one of my priorities ๐
I’m gonna try an experiment here. ย With only 28 days to go to the Chicago Marathon, I’m going to try to write a new post every day. ย I give myself about a 4% shot at meeting this goal, but will give it the good-ole-college-try.
Right now, I’m in between long runs. ย On a long-run-every-3-weeks schedule. ย My next long run is next Sunday, at the NYRR Marathon Tune Up race. ย That will leave me 3 weeks out from the race. ย In prior races, I’ve done more long runs every other week, but sometimes it burns me out, and my training is not quite at that level yet this time around.
While I should now be running at least 4 days per week, it just has not worked out that way. ย I’ve only run twice this week, but at least also did a 50 ride bike ride on Monday. ย I was not able to run yesterday, and this morning’s planned run was nixed due to one of my kids being sick and messing up my sleep last night. ย I still hope to run later on tonight.
